I am a qualified teacher and have worked as an Artist in Residence.
Below are some projects I have worked on in schools.

Pen & ink project Years 3 & 4 These sample pictures are the end result of a day's workshop on portraits. The day started with looking at the proportions of the human head. Following this we looked at light, shadows and shading techniques. Finally, the pupils learnt how to use Indian ink and a brush. The day's skills were used to create these pictures. Paper Sculpture & Digital Media Years 3 & 4 The day started with looking at the proportions These pictures are a sample from a one-day workshop on Paper Sculpture. The Pupils were taught a variety of Paper Sculpture techniques before creating a Paper Sculpture of a friend's head. Once this had been done the pupils photographed their work using a strong light source and a digital camera. For the final part of the session pupils were shown how to enhance their photographs using digital software. Please click on each picture to enlarge.
